A digital creation Cleo! Wow...this is just beautiful. I think you are very modest re: you capabilities to draw this w/ accurate detail.
Nicely placed in the frame and the detail not only in your butterfly but in the surrounding green foliage is just exquisite. Lovely colors and I do like the little bits of red flower you've included lower frame. You do marvelous work....I thought at first this was a photo. Best of luck w/ it in the contest. You have another fine entrant w/ this piece.

lol..you know whats funny when i saw the thumbnail i thought it was a photography and was gonna zoom and let ya know you had it in the wrong area. lolol.. yep such awesome work fooled me alright. this is excellent. work. the details is excellent. the body form and shape of the butterfly is perfect. the depth is excellent. the blend of color is awesome. the creation is well balanced and very eye appealing to the viewer. very creative and im broke with no 6's but ill do this instead..(standing clapping and cheering) wooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooohoooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!

Me, I'm L eye blind with a highly myopic R!
Btw, this is a well thought out, nice rendered subject with fragile wings.
Fine features & soft delicate textures.
Verdant overtone naturally framed the vibrant subject.
The red florets accentuated this image nicely but the lower bloom seems abruptly cropped.
Good luck to all newbies especially to first time winners.
The feeling is exhilarating!
