Photobombing Cardinal

A great chance capture of this bird in an unusual looking (presumably) landing position. Looks like he's gonna karate kick the other one out of the tree!! a nice serendipitous shot of both birds in strikingly different poses, each displaying the structure and colours of these creatures well. Great shot!

Thank you! I thought the same thing, what a goofy position, looks more like he is taunting the other bird - stealing the spot light :)

A wonderful stop action picture of the second male Cardinal in flight while the Cardinal perched on the branch seems to be looking the other way>
Artistic composition, framing & lighting taken with superb camera techniques & razor sharp focus.

Sorry but I do not understand what you mean by "photobombing"? So, your humour has passed me by! Ido understand though that it's a good and enjoyable photo. Well done!

Thank you! Photo bombing is when you are set up to take a picture and something or someone suddenly jumps into the shot :) Like that bird did! That's been happening to me a lot lately. I was taking a picture of a swimming polar bear when he suddenly stuck his foot into the shot! Thank you again for the nice review.

Thanks for your explanation! All is clear now!!

haha! Nice shot. The one on the left looks like he is 'flashing' the other cardinal. No doubt trying to intimidate him :). I can see this one being used for some funny stories on FanStory,

Thank you! It is a weird position and yes, just like he is flashing him, lol!

A remarkable shot. I like the position of the flier with spread wings and tail and the perched one is nicely shown. It is a bit unfortunate that there are those branches in front of your flier.

Thank you! I know - that branch is a bummer, but I think I might ruin the image if I try to eliminate the branch. I might give it a try anyway.

This is great! You were lucky to capture the action! I like the story behind it too. A happy accident! Great color and perfectly blurred background.

What a chuckle I had looking at this picture. Love the details of the "photo bomber's" feathers and his "pose". And the "pose" of the cardinal on the bench looks as those he was saying something like "this is my photo op fly away will you." Your dof is great and colors are bright. Thank you for sharing. Thank you! I thought it was too funny and your comments make me chuckle too. You are right, the perched bird does look irritated by it. I think it is such an unusual position like the photo bomber is saying" haha I am stealing the spotlight!" Glad you appreciate the humor of it :)

Your welcome. Glad you shared and great job of removing the limb in front of the "photo bomber".

Thank you! I was wondering if that looked alright. I really appreciate you letting me know -I'm not much of an expert in that area :)
