This is a pleasure to view. At first I thought this was whipped cream beneath the berries. Then I read your notes. Thank you for those.
Your post processing is well done and adds a lovely white to your beautiful berries. Your details are great on the berries and your framing is just enough to keep things close but also give the smoke some place to move. Nice work. Good luck in the contest!

It is not difficult to guess who this photo belongs to, and I like the idea with the smoky looking background. It has lovely pastel colors as well which looks good together with the red berries. Of course it looks like the strawberries are floating, but this was probably your intention. They are of course standing out from the background in an excellent way.
Your focus on the berries is spot on and sharp showing really clear and well defined details in all of them, and the exposure is perfect.
I also think the photo is nicely cropped and the berries have got a fine placement within the frame. Indeed a lovely, creative and well taken photo with a very good DOF, and I wish you luck with the contest.

The strawberries are so vibrantly red. It kind of looked like they were sitting on top of whipped cream but I'm not sure. I like the smokey look to the picture. Thanks for sharing.

The Strawberries are very crisp and sharp. Good DOf and colours. A bit different to have smoke in the frame with fruit. Only fault is that there is a distraction in the right hand top of the picture.
