Wow, Lucien van Oosten that is impressive! I think you did a fine job with this. I know next to nothing about this style of art but in my mind if every dot was placed there one by one to form the image.. That is impressive!

Shadow Bea, yes they were drawn there by me, one dot at at time, that's what pointillism or stipple is the creation of an image using dots. thank you for the compliments and take care... there are more images in this book as well in the other book and in my portfolio...cheers... LvO...

This is a very nice piece. I love to work in pen and ink and piontillism is a great way to add softness to the lightly shaded areas. My only real citicism is the way you have centered the darkest area of the wings in the composition. It would be nice if you added a little more work to that black area to bring out the details of the feathers one might see if observing the bird in such close proximity.
Also consider adding a little darker areas to the feet and just a sprinkinling of dark ares to the mountains below. All of this will keep the viewer's eye moving across the piece and not stop with the black area right in the middle.
