I like the way the dog is looking right at the camera with those beautiful blue eyes! I also like the expression on the dog's face. The blurred background is great.

Great shot of a blue eyed husk!
I know that look!
Beautifully captured with dramatic lighting and background.
The incredible eyes and unwavering gaze is class husky.
People feel a little intimidated because they stare right at you and hold your gaze unlike other breeds.

This is nothing short of amazing. I love the blue eyes. looking right into the soul. Where in northern CA? My wife and I love playing up there. We did the redwoods earlier this year.

This is a truly lovely dog with the light blue eyes, and I especially like the eye contact you have with him when this photo was taken. The kind of dark background is also perfect for the dog with the light fur to stand out in an excellent way.
Your photo is of course also nice and sharp and it is indeed clear and well defined details to be seen in the dog's face and fine textures in the fur. It is nothing wrong with the exposure and white balance either.
The photo is so nicely framed by the tree on the right, and I think the dog has got a very good placement within the frame. This is a truly lovely and well taken photo Lisa, and with a very good DOF. Would have give you 6 stars for this one, but I have run out.
