Deb! If they handed out gold stars for flowers I would say take a dozen or so from petty cash. This is just too darn good, I can't stand it.

Everything about this take is spot on gorgeous and down right mesmerizing. I love it!

The camera technique is what I have come to expect from your post.

The framing for this composition is a real eye catcher - nicely done.

The only 'Bee in my bonnet" is the DOF. I think if you had stopped down a couple more stops the other 3 bees would be as sharp as the guys in the foreground. That would have made the middle Echinops blossom sharper and that would provide a wicked contrast to the foreground blossom - ya think.

Anyway, I still love it ... B-)) Bob

lol...I completely 'think' Bob....the 'bee in your bonnet' bothered me too. Thought twice about posting it actually but ran out of time and I just get such a kick outta this one every time it scrolls by on my screen-saver.....and decided since no-one is harder on me than ME that I would post it anyway. Oh most definitely Bob....the great thing about perennials....they (and the Bumble Bees) come back every season
