This photo is very well composed and everything is nice and sharp. It was a great idea to convert this to black and white which makes it look like a classic old photograph.

I love B&W photos like this. It just adds so much character. After the immediate impact of the train with it's glowing headlight I was drawn to the orangish slide in front of the child's swing set in
the yard, or maybe it's a park. That definitely added interest. I like the horizontal lines of the power lines that match the branches of the tree on the right. It looks like the train is barely going to get under those power lines. Excellent photo.

A wonderful picture of his old train rolling up the tracks, taken with great positioning and with excellent clarity and DOF making a lively picture, which the black and white effect enhances and gives an old fashioned and classic look - great work.

I almost took this for a pen and ink. What an interesting effect. I really like the angle of the shot, especially with the headlight in the middle of the darkest area. This works so well in BW. Good Wow factor. One odd thing - I notice what looks like a playground slide on the right side that appears to have a yellowish tone. How did that happen? It's really cool, but very strange.

What I like especially with this photo is the very strong contrasts between dark and light. I suppose this was achieved by using lens effects. This is also a photo that suits being converted. Your POV was excellent and it is fine leading lines bringing the viewer into the composition.

Your photo is also all over nice and sharp and it is such clear and well defined details to be seen all over. I also the exposure is very good.

The cropping is working well, and the train has got a very fine placement off to the left. I think this is a great looking and well taken photo, and I wish you luck with the contest.

Quite a nice black and white shot presented here! Like your off-centre composition of the train. Sharpness and exposure are fine. Well done and good luck!

A very nice shot from a fine perspective. I like the composition but wish those telephone wires were not there. A fine black and white image with a nice range of tones. Best of luck in the contest.

Thank you....I did debate about removing the wires

This is a rather clever representation, especially for its unique media treatment. I would have been even more attracted to this piece if not for the fact that the approaching train appears to disappear against the background trees. Otherwise, very well done and thank you for sharing.

nice composition and presentation, but the saturation is too hash making part of the details disappear in the black parts

Creative concept with its pen & ink-like modification.
