Hi Lori...this is such a wonderful work of art. I think your post processing has turned it into a painting and yet you have sustained the excellent photographic detail in his face and hands and pole and net. Your choice of shading has made it a vintage photo. I like that just a bit of green in the water. Your light and shadows are playing comfortably...giving the shadows their place if they don't get too dark. :D Wonderful. Very deserving of the win in the contest! Norman Rockwell-ish! Love it! Cyber six my friend.

I will let you in on a secret=) This was actually taken in my livingroom=) I am setting up a portrait studio and this was one of my new backgrounds and props=) It was a lot of fun setting it up and post processing it to make it look real=) Now I have to take him fishing for real=) Have a great day my friend! I use a site called picmonkey...I just got photoshop and lightroom but I feel lost when I try to figure them out! LOL

Lori, this is awesome. You have such a talent for portrait photography to begin with, really an eye for catching the moment, as you have done with Cater in this shot. Then to add the sepia tones to this, giving it such an artistic flair is just over the top, AWESOME.

Outstanding!!!!! I love the composition bringing in all of the elements bringing high interest in the shot. The colors are superb and create a soft feel that works well. I may have lightened up the area where the net is bringing in a little more of that detail but thats just me (-: This one is a keeper and should be framed!
