Absolutely wonderful photo of this Egret family. The babies are adorable. I love the way the wing of the parent is stretched out protectively over the babies. Excellent sharpness and detail.

The detail and lighting of this image are incredible. The pose is so adorable and evokes a strong emotional appeal. I am really amazed at all the fine detail you captured of every bird in the scene. The colors are nice and rich too.

Your beautiful shot certainly deserves a 6, but I have run out unfortunately! The almost central composition you have employed gives us a grand look at that new family scene. Sharpness and exposure are fine. Well done and good luck!

Incredible shot. How on earth did you get this? The sharpness and colors are perfect. The little fuzzy chicks look like they have little halos, with the downy heads. You're right. This is truly spring.

The birds were out in droves at the rookeries BT! It was very exciting to see the mom with the chicks once again. Thanks so much!

I especially like the way the mum is spreading her wing over the little ones, as if she wants to protect them. It is also lovely the way the light is falling on the birds and how well they are standing out from the green foliage.
Your photo is pin sharp as well and it is such clear and well defined details to be seen in all birds. I also think the white balance and exposure is spot on.
The cropping is perfect and the birds are so well placed within the frame. This is indeed a beautiful and well taken photo with an excellent DOF, and I wish you luck with the contest.

A brilliant picture of the parent Egret after landing on it's nest watching over it's fluffy chicks one appearing to be feeding another as if copying it's parent. A magical composition, framing & lighting taken with superb camera techniques & sharp focus.
