Gorgeous composition. Love the action detail of the crashing surf, the calming, centering scene of the brilliant sunset. Just feels you with peace- Great work

Congrats! This is definitely a worthy win. I love how you define the essence of God portrayed in this magnificent view. It is absolutely breathtaking and I know no other artist but Himself, who could create something so wonderful. Thanks for sharing.

Oh HUGE congrats Steve for this piece and for the accolades I see here above it....most definitely well deserved Buddy!!

WOW but this is amazingly crisp Steve and your timing here was impeccable! I love the bit of water splashing off the rock face. White waves are spot on pure....and colors (especially in the sky) are stunning.

THE perfect notes and title. You know EXACTLY how to frame and present these shots. Just beautiful Steve.

Deborah

OH my special one. You are Simply The Best. I especially appreciate your thoughts when you review my photos. Would you believe that the lighting in this scene was done with a flashlight between my legs? Me neither.

I do so appreciate your thoughts always Deb. You are My Best Buddy ~ Steve

BTW: The first thing you open is your eyes (I think).

awwww...your 'special one' awww Steve. Thank you....seriously.

Now....lol....your BTW...laughed like hell when I got that pm. We'll just leave it at that....

Oh and forgot....perhaps God had the flashlight between the knees for this piece?? yes??

No doubt. HE puts the scenes there and "Allows" me to make a feeble attempt to capture.
reply by PeglegDeb on 23-May-2017
your 'attempts' Steve have improved DRAMATICALLY over the last year. I believe HE (SHE??) likes and thoroughly approves of what you're doing.

Wonderful composition of a seascape during the golden hour capturing the warm colors of the sky during the setting sun with the sea water splashing against the shoreline rocks on the left and the waves rolling into the shore. Outstanding.

This is a breathtaking image. The colors are beautiful and the light is captured perfectly throughout the scene. I like the way you timed the water crashing against the rock and all the fine detail that shows of the water. The reflection and textures of the rocks are gorgeous too. Such a beautiful image full of power and peace at the same time. Words that this image brings to mind are: Inspirational, Awesome (true awe, not just the trendy word) and Appreciation.

Wow. I am so honored with your comments and review. I am pleased that you see this scene the same way as I do. It speaks to me as it does to you. It is inspiring and I was fortunate to be able to "see" and capture what is truly one of the gifts of nature. Thank you so much again for your poetic comments and the wonderful rating my friend ~ Steve

This tumultuous sea and craggy rocks repeat my last night's lesson for comprehension I gave to pupils, about the wind on waters and how it creates waves and the sunlight blue water and grey days grey waters. The seas are something both frightening yet maybe in the future to man's advantage, if we don't poison all the fish in it and over fish. I see several desalination plants on the coast of China in the future and as for the Australians squabbling about the cost..well what can one say. Beautiful photo and absolutely amazing skies..Where is it I wonder? It has mixed media added, so I wonder, in the colour?

Thank you so very much for your review and comments. I agree with your views concerning the sea. This photo was taken one week ago today in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, where I am still vacationing. Yes I did some after photo work to enhance the colors and details to give the scene more visual impact. Thank you so much Renate-Bertodi ~ Steve

Puerta Vallarta....been there; done that....and every view can be more breath taking that the last. This is absolutely gorgeous especially since my favorite color is burnt orange.....this is calling me by my first name very LOUD and very CLEAR (smile). I love it.....everything about it. I could go on ranting and raving for at least an hour, but I am borrowing this computer and must return by 1815, which is in 12 minutes and I still have so much to get done.
THIS IS TOP NOTCH. BRAVO to the person taking the picture and BRAVO to mother nature....Oh wow....guess what...It is not burnt orange. It was how I had the screen slightly backwards on this laptop which created it more darker shades simply lovely....yet now, when I set it up right, it flip on me totally giving it a completely different perspective....different colorings all together and must softer sky compared to the waters beneath it.....TWO different photos in one....making it even twice as special. Therefore, it deserves 6 stars. THANKS FOR SHARING.

Thank you so very much for your wonderful review and comments. You are correct that there is a difference when the screen is tilted. Doing the after photo work I chose the softer sky and did want to contrast it with the details of the sea. I agree that it is a beautiful scene and I feel so blessed to have been privileged to "see" it and then capture it in some way. If you would like a copy just let me know and I will send it or any thing I have. Thank you so much again for your wonderful review and fabulous rating ~ Steve

You would actually send me a copy of it....or any of your other works? Really? That is so very sweet of you. I am overjoyed at even the thought. I will go back and check out your other works because I KNOW there are some I fell in love with. I will let you know in the not too distant future of any that I would truly love to have. Thanks again for the offer.

Really nice shot this steve, having the waves coming over the rocks, while not dramatic does give the viewer a sense of where it is and combined with that sky makes for a good combination, should be on a poster this one...brian
