Now you've broadened my horizon :) I like the detailed note of the history which is very interesting. The black and white format emphasizes the pattern of the windmill and the cool design of the blades. That tree must be mighty tall!

Mighty tall indeed. Wish I would have gotten the top of it in the shot. Thanks for the review.

Love the angle of the take of this tall windmill. The tapering tree and the banister are a good additions to emphasize height and taper of the structure. It looks much lighter 3-foot thick walls for 50 feet. Good luck with the contest.

Surprise! Israel? This is such a classic windmill, who knew it would be there? Photograph is very sharp and well balanced in its composition; the taller cypress(?) holding its own against the wider windmill.

I never could have guessed that this structure was located in Israel.

I am a great fan of BW and this take is exceptionally well taken.

The DOF for this Wind Mill is excellent through out the entire scene. The well defined clouds provide a wonderful contrast to the white of the tower and the opposing contrast of the tree.

I like the inclusion of the walkway, that gives the viewer a nice introduction and lead into the rest of the take.

Excellent piece for the contest ... B-)) Bob

A wonderful shot of this fantastic traditional windmill, with good perspective of height showing the handrail and ground beneath, and also it's next door neighbour the towering tree which sits well beside it. The use of colour filter is a good choice and brings out the colours and textures well with good DOF and clarity - great shot.

That's what they were originally built to do! Seriously though your photo is both dramatic and beautiful. It is well composed, sharp and is well compose. Well done and good luck!

I like the conversion to black and white. It seems to emphasize the texture of the brigs and the wind wheel. The deep angle is interesting and emphasizes the shape of the building. The tall format is adequate for this angle. The contradiction between the light colored building and the dark tree is intriguing.

Awesome conversion to black and white. I always like seeing historical sites like this photographed. Great job cropping the photo and love the B/W detail in the building itself. Great photo.
