Hi Cleo!
On reading the title I thought of the character 'Malachi Constant' from Kurt Vonnegut's classic Science Fiction novel 'The Sirens of Titan' which was a favorite of my fellow 'Freaks' and I back in high school in the early 'seventies!
Well, your digital creation doesn't hook into that strange wisp of my memory ( which is probably a 'good thing'! ) but it looks Great! : D
Colorful and realistic and very enjoyable to look at!
'Good Show',my friend!

Thank you very much. I don't know Vonnegut's novel, but the title sounds interesting. I will investigate about it. :o)

I thought everyone knows. Thats why I learned only Russian in school and had to learn everything else by myself or on the streets after I left Germany.

This is just so pretty, the magical bee I think gets his magic from the metallic green color and shine which you show so well in this digital painting , your choice of lavender for the color of this flower could not be any more perfect, it's such a wonderful combination to see the greens and purples together in nature art or photography, your details on this bee are so realistic, as are the details in the lovely flower, the soft green toned background really works to push the flower and bee forward. This is very well created and arranged on the page, I like the tilt of the flower stem, the bee is standing out very well and draws the viewers eye! Well thought out and presented! Impressive to view!

I really like the metallic glow you created on the bee. The highlights on its eye and the cellophane looking wings at e super. The flower is delicate and the shadows add good depth to the petals.

Oh this is just stunning Cleo....and your little metallic bee is on one of my favorite flowers- SCABIOSA.

You got both the colors and details of that flower perfectly...and there really IS a lot of detail there. Your bee is just as well detailed though...even to all the little hairs on his legs.

I am always so impressed that you do this digitally....well it is just incredibly realistic. Good notes too btw. This would be gorgeous matted, framed and hung up on a wall. I am so glad I came and had a look. I have one gold star left to spend and I cannot think of a better place to put it. Just LOVE this one Cleo.

Thank you very much for this wonderful encouraging review and the gold.
I might said it before; Scabiosa is one of my favorites as well. The plants in my garden have the most beautiful flowers even in Texas climate. The flowers draw bees and butterflies of many kinds, so I have the best examples for paintings and photographs right beside my front door.

Oh you are so very welcome Cleo. It will be months before the SCABIOSA at my place are blooming....your digital piece here just reminds me why I like them so much.

The ar blooming here for a long time. The emerged after the frost in February and started to bloom in March. Now they are already seeding, but new blossoms come up all the time also. Here in the desert climate I have to water them each morning before the sun comes up. :o)

If summer is hot and dry and autumn starts late I may....just MAY get a second bloom out of mine but that rarely happens here Cleo. Typically they are one of he latest bloomers at my place.

They behave different here. The size of their patches has almost doubled since last year. They bloom all the time. I have buds, flowers and seeds right now, but it might not last much longer if we do not get rain. If it stays dry we will get water restrictions soon. Without water they dry up.

It must take some awesome talent to create something this gorgeous in digital paint. Your use of light and shadow is very nice and the details of the fly are remarkable. I think the textures are very attractive too.

Fabulously realistic and "photographic". Love the contrast between flower lavender and bee green. The elements are well distributed and done in a way that gives movement to the bee. Liked also the story behind the artwork.

Wowzers on that Green Metallic Bee! The way you created the shine and the tiny hairs on it's legs is truly impressive.
