Metallic Green Bee

Cleo, this is very beautiful. The composition is stellar, using the perfect rule of thirds for this, with the bee just a bit off center, but the entire right frame filled.

You creations in Digital Painting continue to astound me with the depth and the details that you accomplish. Another great one :)

Excellent choice of subject with a painterly feel rendition.

Impressive off centered framing with a visually soothing avocado green backdrop.

Subtle lighting just enough to create highlights & cast soft shadows.

Dynamic diagonal framing is always aesthetic & interesting.

Fantabulous digiart.
Nice color combination. Excellent modification.
Visually appealing.

Thanks for sharing...

Hi Malachi, When you look at this in smaller mode it looks quite real. I've seen these little guys and your rendition of him is perfect! Love the flower too which looks like a scabiosa. Colors are Spot ON! Very Nicely Done! :o) Helvi

Thank you very much for your encouraging review and the extra golden sparkles attached. This is indeed a scabiosa plant [Escabiosa menor -Blue Pincushion]

Wow! Most beautiful art work and storytelling at it's best. Your choose of color palette is so beautiful and along with your artistic ability makes for an exquisite art work. Your light colored lime green background accentuates the flower and the green bee beautifully. Your colors, details and textures along with brush strokes and shading are excellent. What's not to love about this piece. Thanks for sharing!

Oh my! I really like this! The composition is exquisite! I like the push-pull of the use of warm and cool colors... each indeed does compliment the other!

The metallic bee does make a great contrast to the lavender color of the flower. Great detail on the bee and the petals of the flower, great texture in the petals of the flower. Very nice!

Wow. This is excellent. I thought it a real painting at first and to learn that you created this digitally makes it even better. I have seen these metallic bees many times and the iridescence you have used gives such a wonderful look and feel, Very well done ~ Steve

A fantastic photo you've captured here, with great clarity and perfect positioning and angle, creating a great contrast of colour between the soft and varied purple tones of the flower and the amazing metallic green of the bee itself - I've never seen one of these before and it looks amazing, great shot.

OMG my apologies!! I should pay more attention to the write up sometimes - it's a testimony to how good the painting is though in a way! (*stops digging hole now) ;)
