Oh I just adore these pieces you do w/ your Grandson Suzanne. It must be so much fun to pick out the flowers and butterflies after you do the color, salt and water bit!! Almost like a puzzle...but better.
I love the soft colors here and also like that there is 'found' not only a nice variety of flowers but that you've also done some up on the white, unstained portion of the paper.
What a lovely grouping these pieces would make matted, framed and hung on the wall....and look at all the fun you guys have creating them! Wonderful piece here Suzanne.

What a creative and beautiful technique thank you for sharing your process. Your colors are fantastic, I like how this technique overlaps color and the many different shades of one color that this technique produces. Nice is the array of different flowers beautiful details and nice touch to add those butterflies. What a wonderful way to pass down your passion for art to your grandson and a good memory. I really like your painting here. It reminds me of the painting I did last month entitled Flower Patch....It is similar, yet different...It has some of the same flowers and it is done with both water colors and ink. I like that you added the butterflies to yours and that you used an odd number and the placement of them. I just love it when flowers attract butterflies. The colors you selected are quite complimentary too. Overall composition is excellent. This painting brings the viewer to a happy place. Thank you so very much for sharing and bringing me to a happier place.

I really like your painting here. Another lovely display of flowers and I like the butterflies among the blooms. I like the technique of combining the watercolors and ink. The colors are attractive and you added such nice detail with the ink.

I absolutely love this. The color combination is a real eye catcher, the random arrangement of the flowers makes the eye wonder over the entire painting. Great water color.

This reminds me of photos my Zia's showed me of a hotel they stayed at that had a venetian glass ceiling with flowers.
Love the soft colors, the many flowers with a the bonus of three butterflies.
