Cleo girl this is stunning! I am sorry I just gave my last six out to.Paul for his gorgeous black and white shot. So I am fresh out. :(
This is deserving of more anyway!

The colors, the green and red are fantastic. Beautiful painting with fine brush strokes used in your digital art filters.
A wall hanger for sure!
Love the highlights of sunlight and shade and the fine details on the flower.
Well done!!

    Thank you very much!
No problem there. Its not the number of stars which count; it is the review. [The B&W indeed is stunning!]

This is a stunning digital art of the gorgeous Hibiscus. For me it's that gorgeous background with many shade of green blurred to perfection complimenting this Hibiscus beautifully. The angle of the flower your use of color and shadows and incredible details has made this art work very lovely. This is very nice work and thanks for sharing these wonderful art works.

Another lovely digital paint Cleo, you are very talented in 'bringing to life' objects through your digital paintbrush. The only suggestion I might make is to tone down the brightly exposed areas of the red. I assume your resource was a photograph and quite likely the photograph was somewhat overexposed. When you recreated this, I would have deepened the reds, giving it a richer and deeper look of a more true scarlet. However, you must understand I am a brutal critic on flower photography, which is why I so enjoy your digital recreations :)

Thank you very much for your kind review and your suggestion. The source was not a photograph, but several old scratches on paper I never used. The original does not look bright at all on my computer. It must be the conversion from my PTG-file [paint program] to the JEPG-file required by FAR. It sometimes happen that the files turn out differently at the upload. I had several requests about in my mail from other artists. I will put it into my photo program and turn the exposure down. That should take the glare off. i do not see to bright exposed areas on my artist page, but that might be because I have the brightness of my computer screen turned down. Full brightness hurt my eyes to much when I work. I turn it only on if I review the work of others, but not for any writing.

Colorful capture. The angle of the shot of this colorful flower is great. The capture of the light is great. The clarity is great. The image is balanced and eye appealing to the viewer. Good eye and great job overall

Oh my favorite color Cleo and how absolutely stunning it looks against the greens of the background.

I've tried these at my place several times. They do wonderfully in the summer but are not tough enough to survive the winters here. I did grow a double petaled one but have never heard of them w/ three stamens.....

Your blossom colors are gorgeous and the way you've presented this w/ the light falling on it from above and left makes those colors even lovelier....and w/ all those different shades of green in the background it literally glows on your page. Stunning....I love this and it makes me want to give this particular flower another chance in my gardens. Good notes...perfect title and you have so impressed me AGAIN Cleo w/ your digital work. A gold star piece....easily!

Thank you very much for you throughout and encouraging review and the extra gold.
They are tough enough for all the dangers of the tropics, but not made for any other climates. They do not even survive the Texas winters. I tried but lost them twice. If you have enough light and a warm place for them in winter you can grow them in the house. :o)

Oh no Cleo.....lol...I have a wood stove and that is my ONLY source of heat. It's sometimes difficult for Comanche and I to stay warm...I'm afraid a tender HIBISCUS would be VERY unhappy in my home during the winter. You are most welcome for the review and gold star. You do beautiful work...well deserved here.

You are right, that would not be enough for a Hibiscus.
Wood stove sounds homely and better than the electric heating of that old house I live in. If I use it I have to turn off everything else otherwise it blows the breaker. I guess we have to be confident with what we have and obey nature.
I guess I paint Hibiscus and the other tropical plants so often because I miss them so much.

fantastic...beautifully taken and just as equally presented in a wonderful structure with sharp detail throughout , the subject allowed to enhance by the defused backdrop of foliage

An interesting narrative and details about this unusual flower - this has been digitally painted superbly well and I presumed it was a slightly enhanced photo. Lovely vivid colour, great contrasting green in the background and good detail showing as you have described - great work.

Thank you very much for your kind and encouraging review.
This was not painted after a photo, but after some scratches on paper II never used. It seems the conversion from my PTG-file to the JPEG file required by FAR and the upload of it got brighter then the original, which caused some glare and loss of detail on the upper petals. I am going to reduce the exposure in my editing program.

Wonderful digital artistic moment. Love the vivid color and wonderful lighting. The movement of the background perfectly played. Think I'm gonna play with some digital stuff - haven't but a couple of times but this image has motivated me. :-)) Thanks for sharing!
