Nice capture, I like this one. The Heron is beautiful with great detail and colors. And the background water is really well done. Love the composition.
The reflection is surprising well done recognizing the water is not exactly clear. The details are great.
I think you have done really well on this entire image.

What a great entry for the contest - technically fabulous! The colors are amazingly natural and the lighting perfectly played. Great detail over this fellow as well. Not quite perfection but ever so close to a sixer. I would have added an equal amount of room below the bottom reflection head to the same as the bird's head above. A balance thingy. :-)) Such a small thingy... Anyway, think I'm gonna go take a look at the contest entries - this image is definitely a contender - good luck. Thanks for sharing!!!

What a great entry for the contest - technically fabulous! The colors are amazingly natural and the lighting perfectly played. Great detail over this fellow as well. Wow! I should say this is an outstanding entry for this contest! The heron has been captured with excellent clarity. And the reflection is amazingly clear. Your colors in the water add wonderful interest..and yes.. a 'water color' painting feel. Your framing...with the bird on the left and the submerged tree adding a diagonal direction is done very artistically! I like you choices in your adjustments. Sometimes when I am working in Topaz I put the original capture right next to the newly adjusted one to see where I have let my edits go a bit too far...taking away a bit of the essence of the original capture. It could be one little slide backing off of sharpening or saturation that would bring back a bit of the reality of the moment. You have a wonderful capture here! It is a pleasure to view! well I like this,, just the bird itself is really nice, love the feathers sticking out all over the place and the fact that he shook himself tells me why,,the calm of the water really shows off the leaves, log,and the bird, very nice indeed
