This is a great still life. The work boots on the weathered steps really give a sense of someone working around the house.
I like your treatment of this with the filters. It gives the photo a very artistic look.

What a wonderful catch this one is. I am married to a hard working, boot wearing man. These say so much about the person since he left them at the door. Love the colors and the green that breaks up the brown of the boots and the brownish step. lovely.

Who would have thought work boots could be so artistic. The boot on the left leaning against the wall at an angle with the leaves over the toe make the photo. Great focus, lighting and framing.

The additional green leaves rising from the lower left and partially covering the toe adds depth to the composition. The stoop and masonry background gives a rough feel in the scene which enhances the "work boots" idea. All the best in the contest ~ Steve

A great entry for the contest to be sure. The colors are nicely saturated with clear focus and details. The additional green leaves rising from the lower left and partially covering the toe adds depth to the composition. The stoop and masonry background gives a rough feel in the scene which enhances the "work boots" idea. All the best in the contest ~ Steve

We do not see a still life like this very often. The shoes seem randomly placed by their owner. Nevertheless, they are interesting. The clarity of detail and the natural colors are intriguing. In my opinion the twig in the foreground left is a distraction. If you cannot avoid them , you might clip them of the next time you have a similar opportunity.
