a lovely presentation of this Jamaican scene and having been to the island back in the 90s it brought back fond memories of the Blue mountain coffee plantations that I visited regularly

This is very well done Cleo. I like the colors and the overall tone of this scene.

The textures work well as it give that old world look like the original painting no doubt.

This is lovely. I love the inspiration. You completely accomplished the look you were going for. I love the figures and palm trees, but most of all the rich, warm colors. It is a true masterpiece!

You are probably right. That is not Jamaica of today, but as I wrote in my comments, the painted reconstruction of a print I found on an old gift box I bought in Mexico. :o)
