you know those tv underwater programs, especially those where they find a way of getting really close up to fish, I always imagine the fish, if they have the power to think, thinking just that. But fish don't think, do they - except for dolphins? I don't know, I presume, like mamals there have different stages of development. I really like the idea behind this.

i have scuba before but in fresh water..we would take a can of corn with us down in the water to feed the fish..when we release the corn or that perch, carp and others would come of running..the one thing that aggravated me one of the fish would always manage to take a bite at my nipples. it felt just like someone is pinching you there..after a while im doing more swatting at the fish then feeding them..after that i dont feel guilty eating them..wink wink..lol. thanks for the great review.

you sound as though you have great lives over there! I know mine is what is called in UK by Gov 'repressed' because they are implicated and scared of the domino effect, but even besides that..

An awesome picture showing one of the flowers snorkelling and the fish having a chuckle about him and his appearance, but he seems oblivious/unintimidated by them and cruising on! Great colours, great accuracy, great detail, great fun :)

Really cute and funny. I had to come and check it out by the title. I wanted to see what kind of fish I was. I have chosen me as the orange one that is upside down on the bottom. The main fish is adorable with her snorkeling gear. All the fish each display a different personality. The colors and framing are all good. Nothing to change on this one.

Keep swimming! This reminds me of Finding Nemo but as a flower power version. Now that poor upside down redfish must be doing the backstroke instead of being dead as he is smiling. Very clever.

The pointillism technique in the water looks great. The bright colors of the fish and their expressions are entertaining and give them cute personalities. I think the expression on the turtle is my favorite.

I must first thank you for including me in your artist's notes. I am truly humbled by what you have written....and I also want you to know that the CONTEST POLICE will have absolutely NOTHING to do with this contest. I wouldn't dream of letting them monitor this art contest when I can do it just as easily myself....saving everyone that additional 50cents and if something is wrong, I will let the person know about it right away and give them plenty of opportunity to fix/correct it prior to the deadline. There is nothing wrong with your "fish....I can call it a petal fish.....a blooming fish....a blossom fish...." I think this is a wonderful entry and I love it. I really do....and that one fish that is swimming up side down just to be able to get a look at the pedaling or leaf stroking "thing" that is just above it.....and all their expressions the fish have...they look as if they are laughing because they have never seen something so hysterical....they are probably all wondering where the fins were at (chuckchuckle). Really a pleasure to look at and a great entry.
Puts a smile on my face just when I need it the most since I am in excruciating pain from the shingles I have at the moment....argh!!!
It was nice of you to dare all of your fellow artist friends to join in. I think I will join too. Why the heck not...The more the merrier...
Fun is what it is all about. Even though my painting won't be at all funny, but I love that yours is.
