Ooohhh...NOT the kind of bugs I would want to see on any of my flowers Cleo. They look like hey could do some damage.

Outstanding crisp focus. Your bugs are amazingly well detailed....from one end to the other. Nice job there. Lovely natural color. Your piece is nicely framed and well exposed. Oh and I particularly like the fuzzy red stamen....also well presented btw. Love your very creative title as well...lol

Nicely put together piece here Cleo...and part of my very favorite color family- RED!!

This is very nice and a great entry for the contest! These bugs will probably do some damage to this pretty bloom! The color is great! The focus is good! If I could make one suggestion it would be to maybe bring up the highlights just a bit =) Great job and a pleasure to view! Lori

The brilliance of the vivid colors overtakes the blackness of the insect, so it blends well into the petals. The up close photo opens up a whole new world. I like the small part of green on the left, to indicate the setting. And the glow from underneath adds to the great ways the light works on the flower.

I do not know what they are after, but they eat holes into the flower.

An interesting shot in the dim light inside the blossom. I like the detail in the stamens and especially in the lower bug. The colors are beautiful and the cropping is excellent.

the bugs says to the other.."ill cover your back and you cover mine! got it?" cool capture. the clarity is great. the angle of the shot of the 2 bugs and closeup in the flower is great. the capture of the light is great. the image is balanced and eye appealing to the viewer. good eye and great job overall.

These two fertile bugs are photo bombers and somewhat steal the scene!

They vie for the focal attention of a subject...

Subtle illumination.
Compact framing.
Diffused focusing.
Dynamic diagonal positioning.
Best of luck in the contest!
Thanks for sharing...

Thank you very much! The bugs are indeed the focal. The contest does ask for the center of the flower. It does not say that the center has to be the focal point. I show what's happening at the center.
