a very nice close up, very close for a bird; apparently he understood that you are the one filling the feeder;
very strange looking with its yellow patches; sharp focus;

    Fred,
    Merci beaucoup mille fois for your great review. C'est une petite Rouge gorge/ Robin in the process of metamorphosing from a juvenile to an adult bird, within two to three weeks it will have aquired it's adult Robin plumage.

That is such a cute little creature. I wish I could hold him/her! Beautiful feather coat and thoughtful facial expression. I enjoy everything about this photo.

another lovely close up of a cute bird which looks as if its posing for the photo on the detailed branch. I think the bird is well shot because i can see it well . Nice shot

A very nice close up of this molting robin. I like the blush of color on his breast and the fine detail in both the eye and feathers on his face.

    Mike,
    Thanks a million for your complementary review on this little Robin. It kept flying up to me as I worked in the Garden yesterday.

great presentation and well captured. They are not usually so tame these Robins and fly away at the slightest perception of you moving in so well done you. The sharpness of focus is well achieved and the colours are just wonderful with that red breast just enhanced enough ...well done

    Neil,
    Thanks a million for your great review on this cheeky Robin. It kept coming up to me as I chopped up the tree branches I'd cut off the Mulberry Tree. The Adult Robin I posted yesterday with just one tail feather has now lost it..I'll try to get a photo of it if it stays in one place long enough....
    Excuse me if you got this reply before the site kept crashing when I tried earlier.

A great close up shot of this adolescent Robin, looking very sweet with half it's grey down still showing before it fully molts in time and has a full red breast to bear proudly!! great clarity and lighting, and tight cropping captures this lovely little bird in a snapshot of it's youth. Great picture and well timed!! :)

    Elmundo,
    Thanks a million for your great review on this little Robin.
    I also saw the adult Robin I posted with just one tail feather...that's gone & now it has no tail but it flew off before I could get off my gardening gloves & get out the camera on my belt.

    I'm sure he'll be back, as will his tail feathers! Nature finds a way!! :)
