A really lovely piece and great idea and entry for this competition, that highlights and reminds us how much damage mankind can do to all ecosystems including the oceans, and what a sad shame these amazing and magical creatures have been so thoughtlessly slaughtered for decades simply for the sake of man's greed. I can understand Inuit tribes and such like, who have been doing it for centuries and rely on it as a staple food to be allowed to do it, but commercially I am strongly opposed and it is good to know that there are good steps in place at present to increase the international whale population. Anyway, to the picture! A lovely cartoon like representation of this comedy looking whale, with one bog eye bigger that the other and a displeased manner about it! air bursts from its blowhole in spurts as it glides through the ocean, painted with good accuracy, lovely simple but effective and true details, and surrounded by the lovely blue tones of the sea. A great entry for the competition and a thoughtful topic to have highlighted, thank you and best of luck! :)

A witty title with a social concern and ecological awareness.

Bluish overtone with detailed
Fine features & textures.

An out of the box creations...
Nice visually soothing shades of blue.

Oval interior frame is fit for the subject shape.

Aptly captured for the contest theme...

Best of luck in the contest!
