The colors and paint like strokes of the petal designs look stunning against the dark background. I think the color combinations in this flower are some of the nicest I have seen. Very sharp and full of detail.

Guess what ?????? I still have a 6 in my bucket and you get it for this OH WOW rendition of this gorgeous upload. Artistic yet real, not kitsch, no excessive garishness only real solid artistry.

LOVE IT.

Well this is a surprise Olga....a VERY pleasant surprise! ....and such a wonderful review too. Not sure if I like the "OH WOW rendition" better or the "Artistic yet real" bit I don't have to pick since you said both AND shared one of your gold stars to boot! Thank you so very much for all three. I do honestly appreciate it.

Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious!
This is a stunner Doc!
The tall crop, low key lighting, sharp Focus, dark background with zero distractions, the gorgeous colors blending well together and the crisp details are all spot on here.
It reminds me of Italian Porcelain bowls or vases.
But what is so stunning is the elegance the low light offers.
It keeps us drawn to this Masters Tulip.
It has a painterly look that makes it special and oh so Loverly.
Another Best in Show from you.
Shame you never enter a flower Contest.
This is Elegant, Graceful and beyond the Master's Majestic creations.
EXCELLENT work behind your flashlight and lens!
Bravo!
Wall hanging Color me Happy Good Doc!

Love it Sange! I got a 'Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious!' AND a 'Wall hanging Color me Happy Good Doc!' I shall shut down tonight w/ a big smile on my face! Oh wait...just re-read it and I got an 'elegant' too! Quite honestly THAT'S what I was going for and I could see exactly what I wanted in my mind's eye but wasn't 100% certain this pretty little TULIP would give it to me. It's almost nondescript during the day .....just knew I could make it a tad more dramatic at night w/ my flashlight and camera....and Comanche, of course, trotting around next to me ...lol. I am very pleased it lived up to my expectations.

Anyway, that's just an outstanding review. Thank you so very much for the detail and generous words. Now I think w/ such a marvelous review AND shiny gold star that I may shut down....and sit here and smile for a minute or two...lol Made my evening.

Good Morning Deborah

This is a beautiful bloom. I really love the strong colors and of course the pure black background is a natural for this subject.

Everything is sharp and clear and the image fills the frame so composition is good.

There is a soft feel to the texture which makes me want to reach out and kind of squeeze it.

Very nice

Roger

I love tulips when they are in bud just slightly opened as you have captured this one. The color of this is stunning and your focus, composition, lighting and exposure are once again perfection. :) Mary

I'm so glad that you purchase them. I have never seen a tulip with that kind of color. Then, you top it off with a perfect photograph. Love the detail. The vibrancy of the color is amazing. Excellent focus and your depth is wonderful. Very well done.

....and a shiny gold star for this guy too Paul! One of my new favorite vertical format photos.....definitely getting it's own page on my 2018 calendar. You're a doll for being so generous on my page and I do so appreciate it. Seriously, thank you Paul.

A fantastic shot of this "Masters" Tulip, which I think does live up to it's name to some degree, as it does have a wonderful shape and form and lovely vibrant colours interspersed throughout it making it quite unique from most other tulips. The central positioning is brilliant against the black background and really accentuates the piece, and the clarity and DOF are excellent, giving us great detail on the individual curls of the petals and the bright colours that make up the head of the flower - a wonderful shot and painted taken by one of FAR's very own masters - great work Deb! :)

What a stunning tulip! Photographing it at night was a stroke of genius as must have been evident to you when you examined your picture. The colors are vivid and bold, and yet we an see the fine lines in the blossom, too. This belongs in a contest....or on a greeting card!

I often photograph my flowers at night bc. I like how different they look from their 'daytime look' Thanks so much for having a look....and I do appreciate the lovely review. Oh, and this image will get it's own calendar page for 2018 calendar.

Beautiful, striking, dramatic photograph! I love the close up angle and the placement on a black background. The colors of the patterns on the tulips are really enhanced by the deep rich black. Nicely done!

That great dark background is the 'night' at my place Lauren...lol No street lights...no neighbors... so photographing flowers outside at night gives me a wonderful dark background naturally. Thank you for the really nice review. I do appreciate it.
