You captured some very nice detail of this bird. Extremely up close and personal :) I like how he appears to be looking at you without a care. His colors look natural with the back light and I like how well his feet and nails show.

NO tail is a load off his mind. He is so pretty. You caught him so well as the focus is sharp and the soft lighting gives him a very realistic feel. The details of his feathers are sharp and I can almost feel the soft textures. Nice catch.

The Robin will soon grow a new tail.

Oh No! Is he/she able to fly without the tail? Poor little thing. You have captured this sweet robin with nice focus, detail and color. Nicely done. Kathy

    Kathy,
Thanks a million for your great review. The lack of it's tail seems to make no difference to the Robin in flight.
I noticed this a couple of years ago on another Robin; after it finished it's molt it's tail grew back.

What a wonderful little Robin. Your capture is perfection in both color and lighting. Great focus as well. You of course have me wondering about the tail from this angle. I'm thinking they have grander ones... perhaps she can make that purchase!!! LOL Thanks for sharing!

    Debi,
Thanks a million for your great review. on this tailless Robin. When it has a tail it would touch the ground behind it, if it were standing in the same position as this bird, In a few week it will regain it's tail. along with it's other new feathers.

Oh what a great scene Susan. The little ones always look somewhat pitiful with their shabby coat of feathers and stubby tail. They seem to work so hard to fly from one place to another, but they always make it. They are so cute in this stage. Nice work Susan ~ Steve

    Steve,
Thanks a million for your great review, I just hope & pray this Robin will survive to regain it's tail & new feathers to face the winter in my garden or a new territory it finds & guards with it's life . Juno~Dog will ensure not cat stays around long enough to find this Robin on her Dinner-plate".

Isn't he just adorable! Love unscripted moments like this. Nice composition. Good initial impact, good placement of focal point adhering to rule of thirds, great color and light. Well done.

This is a lovely shot of the bird! You have framed it well. The light and shadows, colour, and the composition have worked well. Good effort!

Another great piece of work, my lady. So, does Oxam sell tails? Not sure. Excellent focus. Good detail. I mean, I can almost count the feathers. Crisp. Well done.

    Paul,
Thanks a million for your great review on this cheeky Robin.
This morning I saw a Dunnock (Hedge Sparrow) also minus a tail but otherwise full of Sunflower seeds.

A very fine shot. The eye is well defined and the detail in the plumage is meticulously sharp. I think the composition is attractive and the colors are beautiful.

A nice capture of that little Robin who is apparently molding. You captured nice detail. I think new feathers peaking through already, so he will soon whole and beautiful again. The bird is well placed, right of center of the frame. The photo is balanced. I appreciate the natural colors.
