I think the subject of your image is very interesting. You have done a great job making him looks so realistic and his expression is fabulous. I think the colors are all very nice too.

Haha. Looks like he's getting an extra touch of make up here. The details are impressive with strong color tones applied. The expression on his face tells it all. Good luck in the contest.

HA! I am in a play right now The Mouse Trap, and I will be wearing makeup also. I guess it is part of looking the part.

This is a great work and really tells the story about he really feels about the whole business. I can relate.

Great work Cleo and I am glad you revived this one ~ Steve

Nicely captured and portrayed. Not sure he is unhappy about it so much as simply accepting the need. You have drawn and painted the moment well. Good textures and colors. Well seen.

What a neat concept for a digital creation - painting within a painting. Beautifully rendered with attention to detail and the story telling behind the scene. Original, creative, and well done, Cleo.

I can see by his expression that he is not pleased that he has to sit so still and have his makeup applied before the play, his face is well shaped with good structure, nice skin tones proportionate features , thick black hair, I like also the hand holding the brush to apply the makeup. Well created and arranged. Nice work as always! Best wishes to you in this contest!

Thank you very much for your encouraging comments. Oh yes, face painting is always necessary in performances. The natural skin color does not show up because of the strong spot lights following the movement of the actors. :o)

fantastic capture and very unusual to. it's like an alternative portrait (and not posed) but is seeing something that has not been well trodden with other normal depictions. his mouth is downturned almost at the same sangle as his chinese style facial hair. awsome.

Thank you very much! Your comments and six gold stars are an great encouragement for me. He does not like the make up, but it is necessary because the original skin tone do not work in the hard stage light. The facial hair is false. He plays Chinese artist at the performance. :o)

Beautiful face expression, colors and textures. Hand is very well done. Love the diffuse background which harmonizes with the foreground portrait.
