Superb macro capture... or is this just a close up?

Fine features & soft textures.
Warm illumination casting soft highlights & faint shadows...
Dark backdrop pops out this bud nicely...

Nice perspective & narrow DOF.

Thanks for sharing...

Gorgeous closeup of this flower going to seed. Wonderful detail and wonderful focus especially on center of bloom. Very clear and crisp.
Beautiful shade of yellow really pops against the black background. Fantastic story.

I have so much fun photographing these guys MM. They change so dramatically from day to day and are one of the most exuberant and 'happy' flowers in my gardens...lol Anyway, thank you so very much for your generous review. I do seriously appreciate your very kind words.....and the shiny gold star!

Looks like a bunch of bees or pansies trying to eat a giant scoop of ice cream and they're trying not to slide down the giant yellow "slides"; nice colors; love the bright green center and yellow petals. Good background; black is simple and works with almost anything; makes the plant stand out; don't know much about flowers; great job; you sure have quite the garden. Take care.

lol...you swimmer always have the most unique things to say about my flowers! It DOES look like a giant scoop of ice cream though...lol...I agree! Thank you so much for always having a look at one of my new pieces and for ALWAYS being so generous w/ your reviews and ratings. You're a doll!

Gorgeous! No surprise here! I love your lighting effects and your framing and perspective. The detail in your seed head is perfection...with excellent saturation control. The yellow petals have the greatest impact on me though. yellows are gorgeous in person and not always easily captured in a photo. You have them perfect here....showing the veins in the petals and weight of them is intimated. Beautiful work as always. Excellent notes as always. A pleasure...as always! Thanks for sharing Deb!

...and a wonderful review Becky...as always....lol. Funny thing btw- I do not have trouble w/ yellow but DO have issues w/ red. These yellow RUDBECKIA are exuberant and cheerful and I do love photographing them. Thank you so much for checking them out and again, for the generous review.

A very nice bloom shot presented here! Your full and central composition allows us a good look at it. Exposure and sharpness are fine. Well done!
