Dark shades of green, but it all is indeed green in this mist. The shadows of the night fall are falling down but the last light of the sinking sun, still reflects from the water and the tree trunks while the two in the boat are already a dark silhouette. The painting breezes tranquility. It is intriguing, nicely framed and well balanced.

Oh, eerie. This picture tells a story. I find that to be a nice element as it causes the viewer to hang around looking at the scene a little longer than a passing glance. Nice simple composition using the one large tree on one side and the two complete smaller trees on the other side causing the viewer to focus on the sun and boat. Nice. Thanks for sharing.

This is one of my favorite scenes. Nothing is more beautiful and alive as the morning. Everything about this is perfect, the placement of the boat in the sun's glow on the water, nostalgia of a boy and his dog and looking through the mist to get a view of a perfect morning. So well done, makes me smile.

Top notch work for clever drawing, artistic framing and tonal control to give depth.
The mood set here is simply delightful and because our eyes travel to the brightest spot on the canvas (the natural pathway) we instantly see the boy and dog.
This is really well done in proportionality and that letterbox format is perfect for our eyes to dance with delight across your canvas.
