Sounds like he is engaged in a dramatic and dangerous job! Your image is well composed and captures quite a dramatic scene! Nicely done!

Excellent image of locomotive and flagman guarding train at intersection. Really like how you caught the light on roadway tracks, pine trees and glow of lamps on diesel. Everything sharp all the way around and Thank You for sharing.

Even though this is a photo journalistic subject, this image has great exposure, composition, and lighting making it a work of art also. Thanks so much for sharing.

A brilliant photograph here, captured with great timing and in good subdued lighting at a great POV. It is nostalgic to see people in some places still using old fashioned practices today when there are other possibilities in place - as the saying goes, "If it's not broken, why try to fix it?". The focus is a little soft but I can't fault you for that as you are next to a train track lol. The DOF is great and the colours in the piece - shades of green in the trees, the black and white stripes on the train & grey tracks and rubble beside, all contrast well with the yellow & red high visibility top of the flagman, A great shot and nice to know people still prefer to do things the way they always have. :)

Cool photo and nice image. I have to say, that sounds like a fun job actually!
I love the trees framing the engine.
The tracks heading off to the right give the viewer a sense of time and travel which is quite nice.

folks dont pay attention to the railroad crossing sign next to the flagman? yeah some areas dont..wink. the clarity is great. the capture of the light is great. the angle of the shot of the train and flagman hoping off is great. the image is balanced and eye appealing to the viewer. good eye and great job overall

Thank you. There were crossing gates there years ago but this line has only been in use again for the past few years

This is a nice shot of the train. I only wish they had made a better arrangement for the safety in today's high tech world.! You have framed it well. The light, colour and the composition have worked well. Good effort!

This is a very interesting photograph that tells a story. The composition works well with the diagonal lines of the track and the train. You have to wonder if the guy is going to make it onto the train. Nice job.
