Creative and imaginative. The macro type scene brings the notes to life. The lighting and crop are outstanding. The shadows give depth to the scene. Good luck in the contest.

Nice.
I actual live near Alcatraz and have been there on numerous occasions.
I like the black and white image.
It appears candle lit, as if clandestinely this money was paid.
Very dark and moody it tis.
I like it.
The contrast, composition and structure is spot on.
Nice job!

This composition is much better than the one for keys. Good crop. Nice tones and lighting . I have a key for the prison also. I could not think of creating a image as good as yours with my key. Well done. Good luck in the contest.

Thank you. You should use your imagination to put a little scene together. Try going on the internet and research photos of different objects you have around the house to get ideas. Even something as simple as a coffee cup can make a nice little scene to photograph.

I think this is a creative entry into this contest, and the little still life looks really good in black and white. It is a lot of things to be seen in this photo, but the center of interest, the key, is standing out well.

Your photo is nice and sharp and it is really clear and well defined details to be seen all over. I also think the exposure is fine, and it is a good contrast between light and dark.

What I find a bit distracting is the cut of candle holder on the left, and especially because the lit candle is showing in the upper left corner. My suggestion is to crop a bit more on the left. Also because the key then would be less centered. Still this is an all together well taken photo, and I wish you luck with the contest.

Interesting capture. The setup is great. The capture of the light is great. The clarity is great. The angle of the shot of this key is great. The image is balance and eye appealing to the viewer. Good eye and great job overall

Thank you very much Dale. I appreciate the high mark and the time you took to review.

This is a very interesting still life. Since the scene depicts an imagined event at Alcatraz, the use of a black and white rendition seems most appropriate and nostalgic.

A nice black and white photo. I like how you can see the shadows of the key. Interesting to look at with all the items there.

Oh a nice image here Mary Eileen. I really like the way you set this up with the key, money and the book. The black and white rendering adds such a nice sense of drama to the image. No doubt that this one will be a contender. Best of fortune in the contest Mary Eileen ~ Steve
