Your 'erotica' painting is respectful and I want to also make a comment about your commentary. I love learning new things and I ended up googling "plurality of existence" and can now understand what it is you were aiming for. There is a juxtaposition of visual realities that give meaning...the whimsy, the brilliant detail of your work on the models does stop the viewer and makes us look closer. It is this looking closer that gives life to the image.
I do want to say that had your drawing been incorrect (dimensional proportions, shading, anatomical incorrectness) we viewers would not have lingered longer.
Your shadow application is correct and realistic and the colour application is perfect...I was especially caught up with the pink roses in the cheeks of the blonde model.
Personally, the dark "cloud" / "shadow in the upper L hand corner is a tad to dark and I find it a bit of a distraction, but that is just me.
The marginal space all round is well done and because of it we can breathe easy as we look at your work.
The colour palette, minimal but vibrant and alive gives an almost underwater dreamy effect.
You have been given a gift to be able to draw at this level and I hope that you will continue to grow and evolve.

Thank you for your six star vote and your in depth critique. I am actually pleased you spent the time to google the meaning of "plurality of existence". It is the founding thought for the title, "Sisters in Spirit". I fought myself about the dark "cloud" in the upper left. I tried a few shades lighter and suddenly the whole painting went blah. Just not enough depth of dark striking against the lighter shades of blue. I decided to go with about as dark as I could in order to create that illusion of falling into the dark infinity beyond the wispy light blue clouds and the figure thereby bringing the figure forward into the solid looking ground plain she was sitting on. Not making excuses, just explaining the thoughts and experimenting with this space. And thank you for the proportional statements about the models. It had to be so in order to keep the viewer looking at the painting. There is such a difference between looking and seeing. Look forward to seeing some more of your work.

A well thought out, clearly time consuming and very clearly seriously taken painting, that has turned out fantastically for the months of work you have put in - the form of both women is captured brilliantly and accurately, uniquely for each one, with great attention to detail, with shading & shadows, curves, and posture of both being superbly painted. The facial expressions and features of both are individual and unique, and painted with brilliant intricacy that really captured the look of the two models in an almost photographic manner. The colours are spot on and the background is just right to accentuate the piece further - a lovely piece and best of luck in the competition! :)

Beautiful artwork. I can see that you have complete focus and the ability to make these Beauties come to life and as you say, the eyes appear to be looking directly at you. The clouds give a soft, quiet backdrop grounding the complete scene.

Thank you very much for your comments and the six star vote. I also think this is quite exceptional hanging on a wall in my studio in that baroque style gold frame. It is time for me to go downtown Santa Fe and check the artwork in the galleries. From time to time I do that to be humbled by the work done by some of the gallery artists. Keeps me from getting to big of a head.

You accomplished all that you desired in completing this work. The body forms are proportional and the shading is well executed to show the varying planes of the bodies. The background seems to be a never ending plane.
