WOW! I LOVE the overall coloration of this composition. You have given this dragonfly a perfect stage to show of the details you have successfully captured in his wings. Those tiny little stained glass facets are a miraculous creation in nature. And to think he can fly around and keep them in tact. Your detail in the body and legs is superior as well. All the while sustaining that true color. Excellent!
I will say that you overall coloration was the initial impact for me and drew me into keep looking at this frame. You have your subject perfectly framed with just enough space to mat and frame this, I think...on the left.
The feet are amazing...and bring life to this photo as he is hanging on to this reed.
Excellent control of the light and it's reflections. Most often reflections on something this detail really interfere. But not so here. Excellent.

Thanks so much for this wonderful review. It does take two nature loving people in this case. One to take the image in the field of a "little insect" and one to fully appreciate what nature gives us if just take a closer look. Nice teamwork!
