This is indeed a beautiful butterfly, and you have captured it so well. With the green colors also seen in the background, this is indeed a lovely entry into this contest. Because of the nicely softened background both the butterfly and the plant it is sitting on are standing out in an excellent way.
Your focus is spot on and sharp showing such clear and well defined details in every part of the butterfly, and the exposure is perfect.
The slight cropping has worked well and it think the butterfly has got a very good placement within the frame. Indeed a lovely and well taken photo with an excellent DOF, and I wish you luck with the contest. I think this photo is going to do really well.

Wow supper nature photo capturing of green Malachite Butterfly.the Angle from bottom left corner diagonally towards upper right looking so well to set up object view with greeny leaves .The sitting Butterfly with greeny glory design on it's wings looking so attractive giving cold satisfaction our eyes.Great photography ,great photographer.
