I am almost a year younger than your friend and I too like to look at the sunsets. I see a nice one over the lake from my front yard every evening. I like this perspective and the way the backlight lights up the seed heads. Very nice colors and fine composition.

The colors in this are beautiful. I especially like the purple in the water. It is very bold against green tones. The brush on the left side add depth to the painting. Overall, this has great initial impact and design.

Oh yes, this is very nice. I enjoy looking at the vibrant colors of this not traditional styled seascape in that there are no crashing waves on the shore. The sea oats really establish a three dimensional quality in this painting. They take up about one third of the viewing space but because you can see through them it actually seems to be in right in your face focus with the rest of the scene is behind them. Nice illusion to establish depth. Beautiful painting. Reasons for my five vote.

beautiful wok with the pastel and your palette is excellent with wonderful varied colours to create a super sky line and the same with the sea and its lovely reflective light skimming across the surface..it really works and for pastel too is a great achievement
