an excellent creation that speaks to me. i can hear her say "if you only seen what i have seen over the years!". the details is excellent. the shading is excellent. the facial expression is excellent. the depth is excellent. the blend of color is excellent. the creation is balanced and eye appealing to the viewer. very creative and excellent work overall(clapping)

Awesome portrait and artist notes. I love her eyes (the mirror of the soul). Her face is a battleground filled with life's harsh experiences. She has character and looks determined. Fighting to be seen and heard and loved for who she is inside, it is a lesson for us all for if we live long enough we all travel down that road bearing our battle scars with stories to tell. how sad that society has decided that a less than perfect face is the result of cruelty and makes one look like a fool. You may have guessed that I too, am a wrinkled old woman although younger than your subject. There is much wisdom behind those eyes. I see a moving portrait of a life well lived. I have always thought that art that moves us one way or another is good art indeed.

Thank you for the great review. I am so humbled. Yes, I totally agree with you on EVERYTHING! I live in the US and the elderly are not cherished. I cherish them, enjoy their grand stories of life. Yes, every wrinkle, every battle wound tells a story. I am almost 59. Wrinkles YES. God Bless photoshop for the cover ups. But my code, me! I will never put plastics or Botox in my face. God created Me. I will die as He created Me! Our society has been warped. But I so wish you could of met my model. She was homeless. I fell in love with her eyes, soul and stories. I now
See Eve once a week for a extra large double chocolate Hot Cocca and a loaded egg biscuit. Blessings to you my friend. So happy there is another alike soul out there. ~

It is as if she is inviting you into a glimpse of her soul. She may be old and wrinkled, but beauty is only skin deep. This is a very well done artwork...and I really enjoyed it.

I am out of six stars but this piece deserves them. The life you captured in the eyes and the wrinkles and folds of her skin are splendid. One can tell that she has lived a live with few amenities but she is still going. Just beautiful.
