This is stunningly beautiful! I know nothing of working with pastels, but this shows such skill. I love the minimal use of color variety! The composition is lovely with the bit of grasses in the corner.

To me this is well done with the trees and the grass and the shore showing, I like the way that it is blended in. This looks like it would be a nice conversation piece, keep up the great work and thanks for sharing. JackJr.

Hi Anon

A virtual six for this exceptional piece of shading. This is visually stunning and I think will ace the contest. Good luck!

A sublime scene. One in which those who 'see' can become lost. As you progressed in this one it is easy to see how you became one with and a part of the flow which rendered the scene. Your feelings and sense of inner self are apparent. If I am wrong please disregard my ramblings. In any event, an exquisite entry for the contest. Best of fortune ~ Steve

Thank you so much. I love fog and mist; one of the reasons San Francisco is one of my favorite cities.

You have captured this really well.
The limited shades works perfectly with this subject.
The entire piece has that quiet, subdued crisp morning air type feel.
The texture from the canvas also enhances the look quite nicely.
Well done!

Thank you so much. The mixed media board is a little too textured for most pieces that I do but it worked for this one. It was a learning experiment.

I like the foggy mood of this picture very much! The trees partially obscured by the fog are great. I also like how the trees and fog are reflected in the lake.

Best of luck in the contest!

I love this painting because of your excellent use of several colors. Beautifully done to create a look of a foggy day and the effectiveness of only a
Few colors is amazing. At least that what it looks like to me.
Wonderfully shaded, beautifully blended work of art.
