I have seen a similar lake in Senegal and Iran; the very high salt concentration gives this wonderful pink color;
the seagull is a bonus;

You had a perfect moment and a really unusual nature gift with this natural color range romantic - peaceful shot - well composed
Perfect in Focus, soft contrast and lighting - I like your angle with the clear rocks looking like a swimming huge seagull too which creates an additional harmony in this picture - well seen - great reaction sharp in details , well done

Thanks Eileen, the microbes in the very salty water and weather conditions cause the color. It fills up with water in the spring and over autumn it is drained and piped to a factory to produce soda ash which is used for washing soda and glass production. Have been there lots of times but rarely see the pink color was just lucky with our unusual weather pattern. :)

This is such a beautiful shot of this seagull with excellent color and detail.
Perfectly captured in flight and I love the closeup view of both sides of the wings. The wonderful color of pink really stands out and makes the photo very interesting and appealing.
