hmmmm not sure if its that appetising to be honest but i can see your reasoning behind it ! The presentation is excellent with a wonderful narrative to give the viewer an insight into this not so pretty flower in my opinion but the shot is well detailed and structured

Much prettier from a distance Neil.....I can see that shocking yellow color from anywhere in my gardens. But I do agree....up close it's not one of the prettiest I grow...lol Thank you so much for having a look and for the fine review. Always appreciate finding YOU at the end of a review.

good capture of the flower and excellent notes about it, did not know Jerusalem is part of it's name (I live in Israel, this is why the name jump on me)

thanks for sharing

Interesting though GG that this flower actually has nothing to do w/ EITHER an Artichoke or Jerusalem.....and I haven't yet found a reason for WHY it was given this common name. Do appreciate the fine review and always happy to hear a reviewer has enjoyed my notes. Thank you.

A nice looking flower and a great shot. I like the way you show the multiple blossoms against that dark background. I seem to recall my ex=wife getting me to try to eat them a long time ago. I guess I survived.

lol...the names of my flowers do look intimidating Seshadri....may be why some people give them 'common names' Thank you so much for checking this piece out. I do appreciate the very fine review you've given it too.

Ah, a ray of sunshine from your summer garden. Once again the dark evening background is perfect to accentuate the vibrancy of the yellow. Love the composition with the large focal point bloom anchored by the smaller ones behind it. Perfect camera settings for clarity, detail, and exposure. Excellent, Deb.

Oh how cool is this? I really like the way you rendered these blossoms BB. The texture is so well done that in a way they look like paper or what ever that material that they make flowers with is. Love that dark background as it really accents the vivid yellow. Thanks for the narrative. What is the size of the flowers? On the top of 8-12 foot stems, I would imagine they are pretty good size. Great job here BB ~ BB

They are HUGE BB. That one in the front is probably 6"...makes having the way off near the edge of the woods perfect...they show up great are not overwhelmed by all the trees. Their texture is almost like tissue paper....maybe not as 'pretty' as some of my other flowers but I like them. Thank you so much for checking them out....and giving them such a thorough review. You're a peach BB.
