I prefer true artichokes: they have beautiful purple lowers;
I would not grow this one in my garden; the petals are not nice, they look like wilted;

    lol...yes, up close they may not be the most beautiful blossom in my gardens sg but I normally see them from afar. The very large yellow flowers make a gorgeous backdrop for many of my beds. Did have a laugh at your rather honestly blunt comments....lol As for artichokes...too much trouble to eat and definitely not hardy enough for my gardens. In fact, I don't even know what the flowers look like but I'll have to check them out.

Quite a nice nature shot presented here! Your fine full and central composition shows us that though your blooms are past their best they are still attractive to look at. Exposure and sharpness are good. Nicely done!

Amazing initial impact on this one. It jumps out at you so you have to take your time and look around the whole photo. I like how you stacked varying sizes of this flower to give it depth. It almost makes it seem like it is moving towards you. The detail, lighting, composition and exposure are all excellent. The notes attached are very informative. Thanks for sharing Deb and nice work.

    BBQ....lol...spoken like a true Californian John. I may actually try scrubbing a few up next season and baking them....but for now they may already be frozen in the ground....and they didn't impress me much the one time I tried them raw...lol Thank you so much for being the first one to check out my new piece. I always appreciate the wonderful reviews you give my posts.
