Oh I think this is really a lovely piece for this contest.

This is put together so nicely. Love what HDR can do to an image....it certainly is effective in your image here. Wonderful crisp focus...look how well even that house and lighthouse in the distance are detailed. Beautiful. Love the little birds flying over top and the bit of color caught on the rock ledges at front.

Beautiful spot and so well presented....all finished off w/ a reserved little border. Nicely done. Best of luck w/ this one in the contest.

I really like this. Very well composed with subject placed well in the frame. Excellent use light bringing our eye to the subject. I love how the cottage and the lighthouse just pop! Well done.

Very pretty and moody photograph. The moonlit sky accentuates the house and the lighthouse. The little island is silhouetted well and casts a mood on the photograph. Nice song title that goes well with the picture. Good luck in the contest.

nice angle of shot and depth of field, but the photo is very dark and most of the details got lost

also, there is too much negative area around the island

thanks for sharing

A very nice, atmospheric landscape posted here! Like the different lighting effects going on in this one. Your fine, traditional composition allows us a good look at your location which is where in the world? Exposure and sharpness are good. Well done and good luck!

Well, both the song and the band that's responsible for it are total mysteries to me but I'm certainly enjoying that impressive photograph and it's slightly eerie feel! : )
It makes for a really 'Good Show',my friend! : D

I don't know the song but the picture is awesome. You have shot the island agaist the sun very well. The framing is good and the blue/grey shading, the light and shadows and the overall composition have worked well. Good luck in the contest!

Aptly captured for the comp!

Nice lyrics connecting to the picture.
Although am not quite familiar with the song but the shot looks impressive.

Good luck at the polls!
Thanks!

A fantastic, gothic like look from a fantastic POV, in subdued and dark lighting to an almost monochrome effect, showing this little island, or more like a rock really, with the lighthouse stationed upon the far edge - the only other building being the keeper's house (I guess), performing one of life's few live in and true full time occupations, which is paramount to all sailors and the safety of others but often taken for granted. The dark tones and contrast is brilliantly phased through the piece, and the sharp clarity and long DOF capture the solitary and monotonous time that must be spent for sometimes days on end on this small cluster of rock and and trees, maybe not in this shot but certainly in choppier waters playing a major role in the safety of the area. Great lighting effects and amazing depth and position to the piece, great work and well done :)
