your art work is amazing.Indians have such a fantastic view of religion. I was writing a triptich not long ago about Jesus, but he is alive and mother mary takes him to India, she dies along the way,and then I take him into India, onto a hill on Nanital. He lived a while there /as I saw someone there do, then I didn't know what to do with him. I asked my Sikh friend, how shall I kill him off. Oh you Europeans you are so mean, he told me.. have him walk up a stairway to heaven to meet God the father, for goodness sake. Oddly, many Indians seem very cold when you talk to them, but seem to be able to take up the sufferings in an abstract form, unlike us, hence The Stations is so popular because people can see and feel the sorrow and allow it all to flow out. Italian women literally weep..

none of it is imagination. Some Sikhs I met in India told me Jesus had been sent to India as a child. Darius changed his title to King of Kings, as he feared the return of this man. My poem about the grave of Mary in now Pakistan, I learnt of in India.. the man on the mountain I passed each day on the bus. I rarely write or paint imagination, as life is so full of interesting things.

This is a very powerful Christian image. The complex geometrics in the background are so symbolic of the turmoil all across the world today. I like the use of negative space that creates the beautiful cross. The blood tears are so symbolic of his great sacrifice for mankind. Kudos!

A very interesting image of Jesus. Great use of the cross as a backdrop for His face and head. The blood red tears really stand out and capture the attention immediately. Well done and a great entry for the contest ~ Steve

Your composition is very eye catchy. The blood coming from the eyes is creative and catches your eye. The background is super detailed and frames the white cross shape. Great contest entry and good luck.

A great picture and a strong entry for this competition, with the striking image of the head of christ with a more Celtic style cross behind his head instead of the traditional image, almost with axe heads as the ends instead of a wooden cross, showing with great detail the crown of thorns, the look of sorrow in the intricate facial features, and the only colour other than the the black and white which is showing which is the tears of blood which creates good contrast and context in light of the topic. Good patterned background to accentuate the subject further, a great piece and best of luck in the competition! :)

Oh Sesha that blood red hits us between the eyes like a cannon ball.

Feels almost Escher like with all those angles there and it is really stark in black and white

Thanks very much for the kind review. Do you think I should 'whiten' the blood!:) Please advise!

Sesha, that is difficult to answer because some may love that shock and others may want lighter blood...maybe make it more blood like instead of neon red....
