Well my dear, only you could make Hosta look this good.
The clarity and focus of this unique shot is remarkable. The lavender color is so pretty and very eye catching. I just love the orientation of this shot,
Not typical and very creative.
Another magnificent shot
Deborah.

    ahahaha...Why thank you Dear Marsha! The lowly HOSTA flower may be the least photographed blossom in my gardens. It had everything going for it this day though. Always happy to have you check out one of my flowers....and thank you so much for a really lovely review.

once again Deborah, an outstanding presentation of an often ignored flower;
outstabding sharp focus with nice diagonally framed flower branches;
and thanks for the excellent notes, as usual

Deb, I appreciate being educated by your posts, for I do not know flowers at all.

However, I do like them and this is a vibrant presentation looking like a chorus line singing and dancing.

You artistic sense can be seen in this presentation , the diagonal the repeat patterns (the law of similarities as HC Bresson called it) is all there.

I also like the inclusion of background which also echoes the "laws of similarities" yet is in soft bokeh treatment.

It is pin sharp, beautifully contrasted showing granulationship between the purple and green.

Ahem....like that border.

I'm happy to have stumbled upon your work this day. Thank you.

    They don't typically lean like this Olga. I got lucky being there camera in hand on the day they did. Thank you very much for having a look and for your kind first line here. I do definitely appreciate both! Oh and I most certainly learned something from you here too so thank YOU as well.

I have many Hosta...many sizes and colors and as much as I was forced to put them in shady places, I have grown to love them. They are so loyal...not matter what the weather or care given in a particular year.

You have captured the beauty of these buds...magnificently I must say. Your framing is the key for me. I have tried many times...I have many photos of white Hosta flowers and buds.. Nothing I have comes close to the success and the artistic impact of this one. Amazing framing...and bg..Well done. A complete pleasure to view.

    I used t clip these guys off Becky and probably photographed them less than any other flower in my garden...then one day I had a really good look at them and saw how lovely they actually were. Have not clipped them off since. ...and I got lucky finding them leaning on this particular day. As YOU know they typically stand up straight....not nearly such an interesting image that way. So thank you so very much for taking a look and for giving them such a wonderful review. Knew you'd appreciate this one.

    Yes I do...and I used to clip them off as well. They were so tall and gangly above the grounded large leaves of the hosta plant. I started leaving them as well... None of mine reached this rick color. It must be your winters..... :/

These Hosta buds with their diagonal stems making a beautiful but powerful statement. Your lighting is spectacular and brings out the many shade of color of these buds. Your focus is sharp and clear with incredible details. Wish a had an extra star for you...cyber six! Your dark background blurred but bright accentuating your photography beautifully. Excellent artists notes and storytelling with this image. Outstanding photography and thanks for sharing.

I have been told that I am immature, too. Will I eventually be as beautiful as these will be? Somehow, I doubt it...hehe.

Again, you have done wonderful work. Very nice. Lighting is perfect with sharp focus. Well done.

Your Hosta blooms look so different from those in my garden, but it is probably different types of these plants. Hosta is a favorite of mine, because they are so easy to grow and also are very decorative without flowers. You have for sure pictured these ones well, and I like the horizontal placement.

All the flowers are also standing out really sharp and well defined against the nicely softened background, and the exposure is spot on.

I like the tight cropping and the placement of the flowers within the frame, and it is a good balance in the composition. I think this is a lovely and well taken flower photo Deborah.

    They are VERY different from the flowers on my other HOSTAS too AV. The spires grow really tall too....it was unusual to find them leaning the day I took this photo. As always, I appreciate the time and effort you put into a review. Thank you so much for the wonderful one you've given these guys.
