Super shot! Excellent presentation! You have framed it well. Light and sharpness are very effective in creating a lovely capture. Thanks for sharing!

I like the light captured on these young hosta shoots which shows soft sheen like detail, the colour is vibrant but natural and stands out clearly from the dark green back ground, I like the horizontal framing. lovely.

Super cool shot. It is so well framed and full of detail. The purple color goes so nice against the green tones of the background. I can NOT wait for this season to come back again. Beautiful work.

Cool,Deb! : D
Yeah,Hostas are damned 'reliable' indeed! The ones that surround my house have sprouted anew every year since my Mom first planted the original batch of 'em there almost seventy years ago! ( I've eaten a few over the years ( and smoked some dried out pieces during one of my 'experimental' phases! ) and, yeah,'it's all good'!
: )
Your photo of these young blossoms is great!

aw my dear partner of misery in the NE...lol You brightened my morning Dear Sean when I turned on my computer and saw this review this morning....and laughed like hell at the 'smoking' bit. I do hope you've become more selective in which flowers you smoke these days...lol Thank you so much for checking these guys out and especially for another gold star my friend. I appreciate it more than you know. Stay warm tonight....and tomorrow.....and.... well, you get the picture.

I have been surprised by the number of reviewers Howard who say they have them growing at their places. Truly a much loved perennial. Do appreciate you having a look and thanks so much for the fine review you've given them.

I will have to google these flowers so I know what they will look like when mature. They are pretty and purple with the buds shown. The composition is nice with the two stems flowing in the same direction. Thank you for sharing and best of luck with this image

What a lovely shot. I have never seen HOSTAS. Maybe its a Northeastern flower? I love the vertical stand of the buds. The color is exquisite and the light shining off of them makes this a beautiful shot. Thanks for the bit of sunshine in the midst of winter.

No, they actually grow everywhere Donna. A much loved and common perennial. Thank you so much for having a look at these guys and I do appreciate your really lovely review (my flower images btw get me through the long cold winter as they scroll by on my screensaver so appreciate your final comment as well)

I never heard of people eating them but I know that the deer around here love them. A beautiful image with very sharp details and excellent colors.

What a great floor composition, like the way the flowers come it at a angle, the how they come up in color and depth and details and textures, a very pleasing image to look at, thank you for sharing, dale
