A very beautiful winter scene!
Sometimes it is the simplest of things that make a great view.
Great composition, focus, and DOF.
Well done!

Thank you so much Shirley. I completely agree about the beauty of the simple things. Such a shame more people don't see them. Appreciate you having a look at this one!

Peg, this scene rouses memories for me, of Canada. Your image has made me homesick.

Yes, the framing of the two trees at the side helps to focus our eyes to that beautifully 'dressed' tree in dead center.

It is not easy to shoot snow scenes for the camera's settings get fooled by the light ...I see you are shooting manual and have nailed it for the snow is white and the detail in the trees can be seen.

Well done.

You are the second member to say I've made them homesick Olga. As you know from having lived in Canada- winters can be verrrrrryyyy long..lol so I've had plenty of practice shooting winter scenes although I do occasionally have issues w/ a very slight blue cast to my snow....but not w/ this one so thank you for commenting on that. Do appreciate you checking this one out and thank you for the very fine review you've given it.

Here I thought you were threatening to take me to the woodshed. That hasn't happened in a while...hehe.

This is lovely. I love winter photography. It is special and the snow adds a pureness. Lovely image. Well framed and balanced. Thanks for sharing.

Oh YOU can come behind the woodshed w/ me anytime.....lol I LOVE winter photography too Paul...a lot. Hardest part is keeping my camera warm enough....well, and my fingers too so I can change my settings....but well worth the effort. It was so nice to find this review here on a VERY wicked, windy, winter day. Thank you Paul for sharing a gold star w/ it. I weeally weally appreciate it. LOL I'm sorry...got hung up on the 'W's and just couldn't resist. Talk about immature.....

LOL. I've had a TON of practice Donna. Winters can drag on for-EVVVVER some years here in the NorthEast. Do appreciate your kind words though and so glad to hear you enjoy my snowy images.

You for sure had a good view from the top of your shed, and I see exactly the same as you. That I how nicely the trees on each side are working as a nice and natural framing. All the trees look so lovely covered in snow.

Your photo is as always nice and sharp showing such clear and well defined details in all the trees, and the exposure is just perfect.

It is nothing wrong with the composition either. It is a good balance in the composition. It is also a truly lovely and well taken photo, and with an excellent DOF.

A beautiful view that is very well composed. The snow is pristine and perfectly exposed and the bit still falling is a big plus. I know that people do shovel off their roofs, but I am not one of them. Even if it does offer a fantastic perspective.

I don't blame you a bit MM...lol If I wasn't afraid of my roof and all that snow ending up on top of all my fire wood I wouldn't shovel either. So glad you had a look at this one and liked it enough to share a gold star!! I do really appreciate it....and hoping btw that all the snow falling today doesn't mean I'll need to crawl back up there in a day or two...lol Thanks again MM.
