Very nice set up of the spilled coffee beans we can almost breathe in and smell.
Love the soft brown background with a soft spectrum of color, fine focus and nice use of lighting showing a nice shine on the glass jar.
Nice work Mary Eilleen.

This is an interesting, very creative and profoundly whimsical approach to still-life photography, especially for its luminescence and vibrant geometry. Very well done and thank you for sharing.

I think this is a nice set up Mary Eileen, and I like the hues of the background. I think especially the shine in the glass is well captured, and I also like that the edge of the table is visible in the background.
Your focus on the jar is spot on and sharp and it is of course clear and well defined details to be seen. The exposure is very good.
The photo is nicely cropped and the jar and the beans are well placed within the frame. A very nice and well taken photo.

An image that sings out us. As you already know I am a sucker for KISS principle and this still life is simple and strong.
The focal point on the beans is sharp with good density of light against dark or good 'granulationship' .
The subject of your photo is compelling in adhering to the law of similarities , the unity of subjects. We humans love to see patterns and we gravitate visually to your presentation.
The perspective is good as it truly engages the viewer, it is up close and personal, and being a coffee lover I can smell this. Smell is evoked not only through the coffee beans, clearly seen but through colour palette. The harmony of colour in this upload is cohesive, it is coordinated, it works for it provides unity. You also have included a light source that has been done subtly shining in from the upper L it hits the rim of the jar perfectly and the brilliance of the jar is the piece de resistance...or the icing on a well baked cake!
Nice one Meg. Also, I find this piece inspirational for I too am always trying to see beyond the photograph and trying to change it for the better, so I have to say thank you for this post.

"granulationship"....are you rolling your eyes, like I did when I heard this term? I attended a workshop on HC BRESSON and diagnosing his geometric elements within his images.....I heard that word and now will probably over use it....ha!
