I think I like the muted bids on the right. Not sure. I know you wanted the left flower to be the main focal point and I know odd numbers are best for a composition. That is probably why you did what you did. I like the muted background. Thank you for sharing and best of luck with this image

Actually I didn't even consider the numbers Pam....just know what I like and what looks good when I look through eyepiece of my camera but you ARE right...odd numbers always look better no matter what the subject. Do appreciate you having a look and enjoy 'hearing' your thought processes when you're looking at a piece. Thank you too for the fine review.

Like the close up of the foliage; looks like people talking to each other LOL; love the bright red/pink. Good contrast of pink/ and green stems and grass. Our palm trees don't have as much color as this; glad you can takes pics b/w the gusts of wind and rough weather. Take care.

A very nice looking image. I like the out of focus blossoms at the right and the fantastic colors. Around here it seems they attract a lot of ants which makes for a rather different kind of shot.

Lots of ants on mine too MM. I've learned (well mostly) to ignore them. There is actually one on the lower left of the bud here. Thank you so much for having a look....and for the very fine review!
