I think this must be the prettiest bird I have ever seen. The colors are just fantastic and the shiny little eye so well captured. I also like very much the background and how the bird is clinging to the branch.

The photo is very sharp and it is clear and well defined details to be seen in every part of the little bird, and the exposure is perfect.

The format and the framing is very good and the bird has got a perfect placement off to the right. A truly beautiful and well taken photo, and with a very good DOF.

This bird is so colorful and cheerful. Was this taken through glass? The photo is great and is very eye catching. Beautiful pose of this bird. It really makes the viewer wish it were spring.
Great shot and colorful capture.

This is a wonderful shot of the cute bird! You have framed it well. The light and shadows, colours and the composition have worked out well. Good effort!

This is a Pekin Robin aka Pekin Nightingale! They have beautiful colors that you have captured perfectly. The markings show so nicely in this pose and he stands out well from the greenery around him. You caught his best side :)

Paul, you need to be aware of Fanartreview site sponsored contests. They are free to enter and this is a knockout for "colours are everywhere" contest.

It is so sharp we could cut ourselves on it. You have perfect "eye catch" and profile view. The pundits will tell you once the eye is sharp the bird follows.

Your background is well softened. If you are working in photoshop I would recommend you remove that black line by the bird...it would be very very easy to do because you have blurred it well and you could fool us all.

Colours are simply outstanding, very well contrasted, rich without over doing it (I see it is a SOOC photo...KUDOS to you on this).

You have just received a cyber 6.

This is very deserving of a 6...but, I don't have any right now. I guess I have to say that this is the best photo of a bird that I have seen so far on this site. I know the competition is stiff and there are so many great shots, but this one really does it for me. It is so painterly and dramatic in composition. The colors are bright and delightful. That branch in the foreground that the bird is clinging to is so sharp and clear. The turn of the bird's head intriguing. I can see how you got so excited with this one. You got the shot with this one. One thing that I really like about this photo is that it looks as if it is done in layers of sharpness and that gives it so much depth. Just a great overall shot.

A beautiful picture of this colourful Perkin Robin/ Red billed Leiothrix lutea watching you closely from it's perch.
