I know I have said this before but I think that duckweed is the bomb! Your capture here is too. Perfect exposure, clarity and gorgeous detail of the heron. The pose is nice and the framing couldn't be better!

My last six goes to this Outstanding Capture of a Tri-Colored Heron in mid step as he walks through the water covered in Duckweed.
Your focus, white balance/Exposure and eye clarity are all spot on here My Shadow!
This is off the chain Sa-wa-eeeeet!
Waters are ankle deep at both Wetlands yesterday and that is with all the rain. Not looking good.

This is off the chain Sa-wa-eeeeet!

A very nice shot. I have seen ponds choked with duck weed like this but they never seemed to make this nice a background. A beautiful tricolor. Excellent profile with sharp detail in the bird.
