You do live in a winter wonderland and you are an expert at capturing its scenes with beautiful compositions that let us experience it with you. The off center road and perfectly placed anchoring trees make this one a real winner. Yes, the maple is the majestic star, Deb. Excellent, my friend. Ed.

Dear Ed THAT is just the best thing you could say b/c every time I post a piece of my little spot here I have worked really hard to make the viewer feel as if they are actually there w/ me! So this was just a really wonderful review to read this morning. Then you topped it off w/ a shiny gold star. Thank you so much. Just makes my morning!!!

A beautiful view. I like the look of the road; seems like only one or two cars have been through. The composition is outstanding and the cool color palette is perfect for the weather.

LOL.....the mailman made me put my box out at the 'public' end MM.....even he won't come down to my home. Those tracks are my 4-wheeler. I go out every few days to collect my mail. Thank you for giving this one such a wonderful review. I do always appreciate hearing your thoughts on my posts.

I absolutely love the blue sky !
It's a very well composed piece and so well balanced.
I love the tunnel effect that the ice covered branches have created .
The shadows and light give your piece life on a frigid morning .
Nice job and thank you for sharing .

Very cool and the population of Greensboro is twelve. Sixty-nine and three quarter percent are men . jk ... you are lucky . It's definitely a slice of heaven

We are both tired of winter but when you see a scene like this, you just have to love it. Nothing is much more beautiful than frosted trees and snow against a deep blue sky. You never get a sky like this in summer.

I especially like how the light and shadows are playing over the ground, and I just love the leading lines bringing the viewer into the picture. You have also brought out the fine textures of snow.

The trees are standing out so sharp and well defined against the sky, and it is clear details to be seen all over. The exposure and white balance is spot on.

The slight cropping is perfect and the photo is so nicely framed by the trees on each side of the road. This is indeed a beautiful and well taken photo Deborah, and with an excellent DOF. So much wish I had 6 stars left to give you.

You are sooo right AV.....and actually, some of my very favorite images are several I've taken in the winter. That is such a wonderful review and I'm really pleased you felt like you were on my road here....exactly what I was trying to do this morning when I took this. Thank you so much for taking the time to check my new piece out....and, btw, even a suggestion of a gold star from you is a VERY nice thing AV lol so thank you for that as well.

Those are tracks from my 4-wheeler Fred...well, that and the snow plow. Not many people attempt my road in the winter time. Thank you for checking out my new piece....and for the very fine review. Do appreciate both.

Love this scene. I am so reminded of growing up in Idaho. The crisp cold air, the silence of the snow and the decorations on the trees. I was thinking "Oh how I wish I could be there". THEN, I looked around at the beach, golden sunsets, relaxing and slumming between work outs and thought "NAAAA" . I think I will have an afternoon snack of shrimp and a rum and coke. So as much as I Want to be there BB, I have to finally admit that I am a fair weather friend and a slug. Sorry. Now you know BB. I do miss skiing a lot thought. So I have decided to open a sand dune ski resort here. Wish me luck. 10 buckets of sand so far.(Man this is what happens to your brain when it gets too relaxed). You are the only one I get goofy with BB, I hope you know that. Sorry about your luck. Anyway, great scene BB ~ BB

Very nice winter scene. Love the blue. Most people do not realize that snow and ice reflect the sky. So, of course, here it is blue. Nice composition and framing with great clarity. Thank you for sharing and best of luck with this image
