Your photo and notes make some telling points. What you seem to have forgotten is that nature is pretty slow at building! Your full and central compositions give us a good look at both in action. Exposure and sharpness are good. Well done and good luck!

Thanks for the review. Sometimes nature is slow in making things like a 2,000 year old Sequoia or beach riffles in minutes. The beauty of nature.

An excellent choice and comparison not only of shapes but angles, patterns and topped off with the B&W effect, which was a great choice for this comparative collage. Great clarity in both shots shows sharp detail and precise accuracy in your positioning and POV, whilst also highlighting the difference in these two totally different textured and layered materials and their set up, natural or not. Both have a slightly mesmerising repetitiveness, and conformity that nature would never want to admit it shares with man!! haha. An excellent piece with great lighting and sharp focus throughout, great work nd best of luck! :)
