This is a beautifully drawn dog with exquisite attention to detail and wonderful color.
The shading and carefully drawn art is fantastic with depth and beauty.
Excellent work with pencil and color. Best of luck in the contest with this.

Oh I love this one Isidoro! What a great piece for this contest.

Really like the full page presentation. What a face and how beautifully you've gotten every single little detail...as well as showing the fluffiness of the hair. Just a wonderful job w/ that. Colors are good...shading work is excellent and the slight tilt of the head is really endearing.

Most definitely worthy of a gold star and I hate saying that when I have none left...but I don't so I'm sorry but it's a cyber six. I'll be looking for it when the contest comes up for voting though. Best of luck. May be my favorite of your animals to date.

This is a piece for the dog contest. Color harmony is soothing. Contrast, shading and highlighting are nice. Texture is beautifully rendered with the fur. It looks realistic. Love the details on the nose! Excellent entry! Thanks for sharing and good luck!

This is a beautifully accomplished work of art. The subject is beautiful and your rendering of him gives him the regal look that this breed of dog deserves.

The initial impact for me is the light you have brought out in the eyes. With you chosen sepia tone for there...and in his brows and jowls, you brought brightness into his expression. Your use of the white out pen is ingenious in his fur. You have created light in this work of art...with colored pencils and ink no less. Your vision and your artistry have come together for an award winning composition in any venue. Deserving of much more than a six. A winner in my eyes.. Stunning. What a pleasure to view. Thank you!

I like your drawing style and your sensitivity to color and texture background selections. The smooth greys and soft whites of the background work really well with the rough coat of the dog. Nice rendering of the dog and that expression that only a dog could give. Very pleasant drawing to look at. Reasons for my five star vote.

A beautiful picture of this handsome Bernese Mountain Dog who's origins are in the Swiss canton of Berne. Beautiful composition, created with very skilful draftsmanship, & your knowledge of the Dogs anatomy & ability to convey on paper what you eye sees. Beautiful choice, blending & application of your coloures in bringing this handsome dog to life as he watches you closely.

I always admire the time, effort & expertise artists put into each artwork.
This is a meticulous rendition with fine attention to details as clearly seen in each stroke.

I find his left eye smaller than the other and I guess they would be more alive with a brighter glow or light reflection.

Sharply focused.
Fine facial features & smooth textures.
Compact framing.
Subdued lighting.
This can still be my winner!
Congratulations!

Thanks for sharing...

This drawing is fantastic. It is so detailed and intricate I bet that it took a long time to perfect, no matter how professional you are. Every hair, whisker, his soulful eyes, the different shades and tones-
